Stress & Resilience

 How much are stress & poor coping strategies costing your organisation? Can your staff think clearly and be innovative?  Stress and low levels of resilience could be costing you a great deal.  


While moderate stress can be a productive and motivating factor in the workplace, research shows us that chronic high levels of stress can have a significant impact on both mental and physical health.

This practically focused, interactive, face to face workshop is delivered by an experienced clinician to a group of up to 20 participants. The program incorporates evidence based practices and includes case studies and contextualized activities created in consultation with your organisation 

  

After completing the course participants will be able to: 

•Describe what causes stress in your lives. 

•Define the many aspects of stress.  

•Outline personal strategies for handling
and reducing stress and increasing resilience.  


  

Vicarious Trauma

By participating in this professional development training, attendees will:


*Demonstrate knowledge of trauma and its impacts, stress response, survivor coping strategies and possibilities for recovery

*Define and delineate vicarious trauma (VT), its development, risk and protective factors, barriers to identifying it and distinguish VT from burnout and compassion fatigue

*Evaluate the concepts of post traumatic growth and vicarious resilience

*Analyse the role of organisations, quality supervision and self-care in VT risk and protection

*Conduct a wellness assessment and take home tools to create a personal wellness plan

Self-Care Toolbox

This course involves psycho-education on how our body functions and the benefits of self care to help reduce fatigue, mental health problems, stress and impacts of others trauma (vicarious trauma).

 

Reflective practice and Self Care Workshops are geared to protect, inform and empower individuals in the field caring for your well-being

Workshop outline:

  • Learn to track your own nervous system and self-regulate
  • The importance of self-care
  • Create healthy Boundaries
  • Aspects of Reflective Practice
  • Utilising your Self-care toolbox


Self-care is a personal matter. Everyone’s approach will be different.
